Tall Grass Farm's breeding program endorses the philosophy of the Ideal Alpaca Community (IAC). The Ideal Alpaca Community is a group of breeders who believe in the ultimate potential of the alpaca. Joined by common principles and goals our collective purpose is to raise genetically superior alpacas that produce high volumes of fine fleece. Members share a belief in the Ideal Alpaca Breed Standard, Ideal Alpaca Type and the use of progeny-tested sires we call Studmaster Males.

When breeding to a Studmaster male you are purchasing some of the best alpaca genetics available in the world. Not only do Studmaster Males have an outstanding presence, conformation and superior fleece, they have been selected for the genotype and history of pedigree. This excellence is demonstrated in the show results of their progeny.

Tall Grass Farm has participated in EPD Testing since its inception to select the best available breeding stock for our herd. The improvement that results from using EPD's has fueled alpaca sales and allows breeders to assemble profitable fiber herds and superior breeding stock.

Tall Grass Farm will also consider barter breedings if mutually agreed upon.

Incoming Female Policy:

• Current fecal examination
• Copy of BVD testing results
• Copy of ARI certificate
• Current CVI if traveling from out-of-state
• Deposit as stated on contract and payment in full upon confirmation of pregnancy
